At the broadest level, my research interests lie within the area of intergroup relations. This interest is fuelled by the desire to better understand how people's membership in social groups (e.g., ethnic, national, ideological) impact ones's thoughts, feelings, and behaviour toward others as well as one's self-conceptions.

Much of my research to date examines the complexities and challenges of achieving national unity in societies comprised of diverse social groups, while identifying ways to reduce intergroup conflict in such contexts.

As a secondary interest, I am interested in research that bridge interdisciplinary fields by applying social psychological research to fields such as communication, politics, organisations, and robotics.
